Ministry of Health confirms new COVID-19 cases

During a press conference on Monday towards midnight, the ministry of health announced that new COVID-19 cases have been registered.

The ministry of healthy has said, they tested 35 people on Monday and among them 8 people tested positive of which 6 people were coming in from Dubai and 2 from quarantine. The current number of confirmed COVID-19 cases now stands at 9.

Dubai was not among the listed countries with high covid-19 cases but from what is happening now, Dubai has become a threat to Uganda as most confirmed cases are
connected to it.

Health minister Jane Ruth Acheng said that the ministry is well equipped with testing kits and called upon all Ugandans to give in all they can in the fight against Corona virus by following guidelines from the ministry.

However it's absurd that many Ugandans are just forced to wash hands in public places like Taxi parks which presents a threat of the virus spreading rapidly.

During the recent presidential address, all people using public transport were advised to seat at least one meter from each other which the taxi drivers have also put into action.
